Virtual Day School Program: Journey to Learn offers a virtual day school program for students that are either struggling within the traditional school setting or need some extra assistance in a small environment or with a 1:1 approach. We offer a full standards based curriculum that focuses on the needs of your child.
Homeschool Supplements: Homeschooling your child but need a little assistance? We’ve got you covered from either extra math or language arts instruction to adding more intensive high interest topics.
Tutoring Services: Need a little extra help after school? Receiving a customized tutoring program to fit specific needs whether in one subject or several will ensure success throughout the school year. Focus is on topics currently covered or those that may need refreshing to ensure greater success in progression.
Executive Functioning: Not being able to stay organized can have a profound effect on academic performance. Our programming will develop skills and strategies that work with the individual to ensure productivity and gained skills.
Dyslexia Tutoring: Our specifically trained teachers will work with the individual creating a customized program using the methods of the Wilson Reading Program and Orton-Gillingham. Using a variety of the two programs allows for each piece to work best for the individual.
Test Prep: Students will learn the skills and strategies for successfully tackling standardized testing; whether that be the SAT, ACT, ISEE, ASVAB, etc while mastering the academic skills needed for the individual test being taken. These same skills can than be utilized across all academic contents.
Homebound Instruction: While navigating between school placements to find the right fit Journey to Learn ensures that academic growth will continue to take place in the manor that best fits the need of the student while improving confidence and comfort within a school setting. Offering academics and hands on experiences add to fostering the love of learning!
